Birdballs

You're gonna be seeing a few more of these. I'm trying to make depictions of scrambling bird flocks, and trying to figure out the best way to distribute colors and, later, incorporate insects. Any suggestions I'd love!

Purpling

These are two purple finches that are going into my portfolio, and into the student show at the semester's end! It's a large drawing, about 22"x 30". Ink, watercolor, salt, and windex. Up to this point, I'm having trouble creating satisfying pieces to show for my portfolio when I graduate; I think I've hit a vein here, and I'm going to stick with it.

Serpent


This is not an owl. It is, however, the start of an idea for a very simple tattoo. I'm sort of stuck on on scaly textures at the moment, so maybe I'll post a couple more snakes or scaled beasts. One thing is for certain: this guy needs a background. I'm not sure how to go about doing that yet, but I'm wondering if grayscale streaks/ blocks would look good at all? The finished thing will be on my dA. I need your feedback, please!
